Three crashes involving motorcyclists were reported early Tuesday morning across Southern California, leaving at least two dead and another injured.
Motorcyclist killed near East Hollywood
In the East Hollywood area, a motorcyclist was killed in a collision on the southbound 101 Freeway at the Normandie Avenue exit.
The California Highway Patrol told Eyewitness News that officers responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash around 12:30 a.m.
Investigators said a motorcyclist and a sedan were involved, but it’s unclear what led to the crash.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Motorcyclist gets trapped underneath semitruck in Boyle Heights
All lanes of the southbound 5 Freeway near the 10 in Boyle Heights were shut down after a motorcyclist became trapped underneath a semitruck.
The crash was reported just before 6 a.m.
AIR7 was above the scene as firefighters pulled the motorcyclist out from underneath the front of the semi.
The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital, but their condition remains unknown.
Motorcyclist killed in Irvine
Meantime, in Orange County, a motorcyclist was killed on the southbound 405 Freeway just north of Bake Parkway in Irvine, the California Highway Patrol said.
All southbound lanes were closed due to the collision.
No further information has been released.
