HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – In the Harvey Town neighborhood in Huntington, the Museum of Radio and Technology held a swap meet and auction on Saturday.
Radio lovers went to the museum to find something vintage, while also sharing their enjoyment for the hobby. The museum takes visitors through the history of telecommunications, where guests can see ham radios, military equipment, or early broadcasting transmitters.
“We do these swap meets three to four times a year because we get so much stuff that’s donated to us during the year,” said Jeff Borne, the museum’s curator and director. “It’s like we couldn’t get into the building with how fast it comes it. It’s how we support the museum.”
The museum will be hosting an All American 5 Radio Repair summer camp from July 27th to July 31st.
