Seasoned Executive to Lead News Strategy in one Of TelevisaUnivision´s Key Hispanic Markets.

 

MIAMI – LOS ANGELES, March 20, 2026 — N+ Univision announced the appointment of Luis Felipe Godinez as vice president and News Director in Los Angeles, one of the most important Hispanic markets for the company in the United States.

 In this role, Godinez will be responsible for leading the editorial strategy in the market, strengthening collaboration across teams, and continuing to elevate the quality of news content. His mandate will focus on deepening connections with audiences, reinforcing competitiveness in an increasingly dynamic media environment, and sustaining and strengthening the brand’s leadership in Los Angeles.

Godinez brings more than two decades of experience in journalism and media leadership, as well as over 14 years at TelevisaUnivision, where he has held several editorial leadership roles within the News division, including vice president of News in Chicago, News director in California, and assistant News director in San Francisco. He began his career as a reporter and producer, building strong experience in multiplatform storytelling and high-performing team leadership.

 “Luis Felipe brings a deep understanding of our operations and a strong track record in editorial leadership. His experience will be key to further strengthening our news strategy and position in Los Angeles,” said Leopoldo Gómez, president of N+ Univision.

 El experimentado ejecutivo impulsará la estrategia informativa en uno de los mercados hispanos clave para TelevisaUnivision.

MIAMI – LOS ÁNGELES, 20 de marzo de 2026 — N+ Univision anunció el nombramiento de Luis Felipe Godinez como vicepresidente y director de Noticias en Los Ángeles, uno de los mercados hispanos más relevantes para la compañía en Estados Unidos.

En esta nueva encomienda, Godinez será responsable de liderar la estrategia editorial en el mercado, fortalecer la colaboración entre equipos y continuar elevando la calidad del contenido informativo, con el objetivo de profundizar la conexión con las audiencias, reforzar la competitividad en un entorno mediático en constante evolución y mantener y fortalecer el liderazgo de la marca en la ciudad de Los Ángeles.

Godinez cuenta con más de dos décadas de experiencia en periodismo y liderazgo en medios, y una trayectoria de más de 14 años en TelevisaUnivision, donde ha ocupado distintos cargos editoriales en la división de Noticias, incluyendo vicepresidente de Noticias en Chicago, director de Noticias en California y assistant News director en San Francisco. Inició su carrera como reportero y productor, consolidando una sólida experiencia en contenido multiplataforma y desarrollo de equipos de alto desempeño.
