Nashville SC celebrates with US Open Cup trophy
Nashville SC beat Austin FC 2-1 at Q2 Stadium in the U.S. Open Cup final for its first-ever championship trophy.
Nashville SC, seeded sixth in the MLS Cup playoffs, will open its first-round playoff series against third-seeded Inter Miami CF at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the league announced on Oct. 19.
The first game of the best-of-three series will start at 7 p.m. CT on Oct. 24, and will be available on MLS Season Pass and Apple TV, FS1 and Fox Deportes.
Game 2 will be at Geodis Park at 6:30 p.m. CT on Nov. 1. Game 3, if necessary, will return to Inter Miami on Nov. 8.

Nashville (16-12-6, 54 points) finished sixth in the Eastern Conference after falling 5-2 to Inter Miami on Oct. 18 at Geodis Park in the final regular-season game. Miami finished the regular season 19-7-8 (65 points).
Since both teams joined MLS in 2020, Nashville has played Inter Miami CF 16 times in five competitions (MLS regular season and playoffs, U.S. Open Cup, Leagues Cup, CONCACAF Champions Cup).
Nashville SC is 4-7-5 all-time against Inter Miami and 3-2-3 against the Herons at Geodis Park.
Nashville SC is just the fifth expansion team to reach the playoffs in five of its first six MLS seasons. In 2023, it became one of just three teams in league history to qualify for the playoffs in each of its first four years of existence (2020 to 2023).
