A Sprouts Farmers Market is in the works for Fountain Hills, according to town officials.

The grocer has submitted a site plan for a 23,000-square-foot store to be located in Four Peaks Plaza, a shopping center near the intersection of Palisades and Fountain Hills boulevards. If approved, the store would bring a specialty grocery option focused on natural and organic products to the area.

Economic Development Director Amanda Jacobs said a store like Sprouts has been a frequent request from residents in recent years.

“Attracting Sprouts Farmers Market would not have been possible without the vision of the property owner, Sandor, and the Fountain Hills Town Council approving zoning changes in January 2024,” Jacobs said.

Construction could begin by the end of the year or in early 2026, depending on the timing of final approvals.

The proposed development is part of the town’s broader effort to bring more retail and grocery options to the community of about 24,000 residents. Four Peaks Plaza has long been a commercial hub in Fountain Hills.

Sprouts, based in Phoenix, operates hundreds of stores nationwide and specializes in produce, packaged groceries, supplements and health-focused products.
