New York Giants interview Robert Prince for vacant OC position

The New York Giants interviewed veteran wide receivers coach Robert Prince for their offensive coordinator vacancy on Friday, reports NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Prince, 60, is currently the wide receivers coach for the Miami Dolphins, a position he assumed in 2025.

He previously held the same role with the Dallas Cowboys (2022), Houston Texans (2021), and Detroit Lions (2014–2020), where he helped develop receivers like Kenny Golladay into 1,000-yard threats and contributed to a franchise-record season with five players recording 50-plus receptions in 2016.

A long-time NFL assistant with earlier stops in Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Seattle, Prince has never served as an NFL coordinator. However, he has coordinator experience from the college ranks, including a successful 2012 stint at Boise State, where his offense ranked top-10 nationally in passing efficiency, scoring, and total yards.

The interview with Prince — along with a prior meeting with Willie Taggart — satisfies the NFL’s Rooney Rule requirements for the position.

The Giants continue their search for a new play-caller under head coach John Harbaugh.
