Analysts view him as a versatile weapon capable of impacting both the run and pass game, drawing favorable comparisons to dynamic backs like Jahmyr Gibbs.
The Giants hosted Love for a top-30 visit at their facility and conducted extensive due diligence, including Combine interviews and in-person attendance at Notre Dame games. Head coach John Harbaugh’s best-player-available philosophy has kept the door open for a high selection at the position despite the presence of veterans like Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy Jr.
ESPN’s Matt Miller suggests that if Love were to fall past the Titans at No. 4 overall, the Giants would likely swoop him up at No. 5 overall.
The Titans were aggressive enough in free agency to enter the draft without a must-pick position here. Love is the type of transcendent prospect who the Titans can build their offense around, giving quarterback Cam Ward a viable threat in the run and pass game. And from what I’ve heard, if Love falls past Tennessee, the Giants will likely take him at No. 5.
Todd McShay also recently cited “league intel” suggesting the Giants would take Love at No. 5 overall.
With pro days underway and the draft approaching, Love’s elite production and athleticism make him a candidate to redefine a backfield if he lands with the Giants.
