Week 3 of the NFL preseason is almost wrapped up, as teams around the league made their final evaluations ahead of the roster cut deadline on Sunday, when they must trim their 90-man training-camp rosters to their initial 53-man rosters.
With that deadline looming, expect plenty of roster bubble players and cut candidates to get playing time as they make their final cases to make the regular-season roster.

The Cowboys third-stringer is 10 of 11 for 141 yards, 2 touchdowns and a perfect 158.3 passer rating. Plus a run for a two-point conversion.

During Friday’s preseason game, Joe Burrow had good things to say about head coach Zac Taylor and the rest of the coaches heading into this season.
“I really think we have a great coaching staff. Those guys work really hard and give us a lot of answers to the test before we take it. They put us in great positions to go and make plays, and it’s our job to go out and execute,” Burrow said. “I really think we have one of the top staffs in the league.”
With the other four teams in the AFC North going through head coaching changes in the offseason, Cincinnati is luckily not starting from scratch on the sideline this season.

After a slow first half for both Seattle and Kansas City, Jalen Milroe finds Nick Vannett to give the Hawks a third-quarter lead. The touchdown was well-earned after an unfortunate holding call erased Milroe’s touchdown on the ground earlier on the drive.
Kicker Jason Myers, though, missed the extra point in a bit of an eyebrow-raiser. Still, it’s 9-6 Seattle as the third frame winds down.
