Who had the better draft: Jets or Giants?

Joe Rivera, Chris Bumbaca, and Jacob Camenker break down which New York team put together the better draft.

  • The NFL will begin releasing its 2026 regular-season schedule throughout the week.
  • The season will kick off with the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks hosting a game on Wednesday, September 9.
  • The full schedule will be officially released on Thursday, May 14.

The fall calendar is going to fill up quickly over the next few days.

The NFL will begin releasing – or leaking – its 2026 regular-season schedule on Monday.

They will soon finalize the season opener, where the Seattle Seahawks will celebrate their Super Bowl victory before kicking off the new season at Lumen Field on Wednesday, Sept. 9. We’ll continue to learn more before the complete NFL schedule is released on Thursday, May 14.

Throughout the coming days, Fox, NBC, and Prime Video will announce select games. Will the calendar include another Black Friday game or possibly an inaugural Thanksgiving Eve game?

There are many opportunities for other teams to have their schedules take shape as the week progresses. On Wednesday, the complete nine-game international schedule, along with other matchups, will be released.

As the offseason comes to a close, the focus is shifting back to the games. USA TODAY Sports is tracking everything that has been leaked so far and how the schedule is beginning to take form.

Giants to host the Cowboys on ‘Sunday Night Football’ in Week 1

NBC is heading to MetLife Stadium in Week 1 as John Harbaugh makes his debut as the head coach of the Giants. It’s a classic rivalry matchup tied into a game that figures to have no shortage of storylines and hype surrounding it. Jaxson Dart will get a big test right away against a revamped Dallas defense, which will see the debut of Caleb Downs in the secondary.

Both teams are looking for a return to the postseason this season. One of them will get to land the first punch under the lights on the big stage.

Netflix to exclusively stream the NFL’s first-ever regular-season game in Australia

Netflix will broadcast its fifth-ever exclusive streaming game in Week 1, according to reports. It will air on Thursday, Sept. 10, between the Rams and 49ers as the NFC West rivals take part in the inaugural NFL Australia game which will be the second game of the 2026 season. The streaming giant has previously aired two Christmas Day games each of the last two seasons and is set to continue doing so in 2026 as a three-year deal enters its final season.

NFL to reveal dates of ‘select games’ with broadcast partners

The NFL announced it will reveal the dates and times of select matchups ahead of the full schedule release on Thursday. Below is when those contests will be announced:

  • NBC/Peacock: Monday, May 11
  • FOX: Monday, May 11

  • ESPN: Tuesday, May 12
  • NFL Network: Wednesday, May 13 (International games)
  • Netflix: Wednesday, May 13
  • YouTube: Wednesday, May 13

It isn’t clear which matchups each network will announce, but they are likely to be among the most prominent contests featured on each network in 2026.

NFL reveals international games hosts for 2026

The NFL is set to play nine international games in seven different countries during the 2026 season. It has announced the host for those nine contests. They are as follows:
