In a blockbuster move, and the biggest in franchise history, the Ravens are trading 2026 and 2027 first-round draft picks to the Las Vegas Raiders for five-time Pro-Bowl defensive end Maxx Crosby. Crosby signed a three-year, $109.5 million extension last March, making him the highest-paid pass rusher in the league, and he’ll join Baltimore with two years left on a team-friendly contract.

The Raiders were interested in dealing Crosby this offseason, and Las Vegas received a Micah Parsons-type trade to facilitate the deal. For Baltimore, they’ll part with the No. 14 overall pick, but they’ll receive a bona fide star and a player who fits the Ravens philosophy.

With the news that the NFL season is shutting down on Friday night, we’re looking at the national reaction to the blockbuster trade.

Unless LV is eating a ton of Crosby’s $30M salary, this must means that a Lamar ext is coming. The Ravens project to only have $9-11M in Cap space, so to get to the necessary $30M, it must come from Lamar. After 3/11 when the trade is official, Crosby’s deal will be redone. https://t.co/8uDB1roQ37

In less than seven months, two draft-oriented teams (Packers and Ravens) gave up two 1s for pass rushers. Highlights the importance of the position – and capitalizing on a win-now window.

Ravens really broke tendency and made the splash trade. Good for them to go get Crosby. Immediately upgrades one of their biggest needs https://t.co/boAppgORvm
