Our best NHL player props for Monday, January 19

Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.

Prop #1: Jack Eichel Over 3.5 shots on goal

+125 at BET99

Jack Eichel has been shooting the puck like the rent is due, eclipsing tonight’s total of 3.5 SOG in six straight.

He’s averaging 5.3 per game over that same span, including eight last night against the Predators.

Top line, and PP1 duties also ensure Eichel plenty of ice time, which he’ll put to good use tonight against a Flyers team giving up nearly 27 shots per game on the road.

Prop #2: Ryan Hartman Over 0.5 points

-110 at BET99

Books finally stopped offering this prop at plus money, but I’ll still happily buy in at -110.

Ryan Hartman has recorded a point in three straight and five of his last six, putting his increased ice time to good use.

Last game, he centered the top line with Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello, while also pulling PP1 duties. If Minnesota decides to keep him put, this price is a bargain.

  • Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
  • Where to watch: Prime, FDSN-Wisconsin

Prop #3: Mika Zibanejad anytime goal

+190 at BET99

Mika Zibanejad scored a hat trick in his last time out, bringing his total to nine goals over the last seven games.

His shooting percentage is a ridiculous 28% over that span, well above his season average of 15.8%. The Anaheim Ducks are not the team who are likely to cool down his hot mitts.

The Ducks are giving up 3.58 goals per game (31st), and Zibby will keep the good times going in Cali tonight.

Kyle LaRusic - Covers

Kyle LaRusic joined Covers in 2020 with a Holland College diploma in Journalism and a Mount Saint Vincent Degree in Public Relations. Stints at Amherst News and the Cape Breton Post helped sharpen his skills in a newsroom setting, while working for MSVU and Dalhousie’s athletic departments landed Kyle in his comfort zone.

Kyle has been an avid bettor for over five years, starting with just one Sports Interaction account before discovering both the beauty and importance of price shopping. bet365 and Pinnacle are his go to books, but accounts at 10+ sportsbooks give him an array of options. “Rusty” will bet on anything under the sun as long as there’s value and good reasoning behind it, but NHL and NFL are his two favorite leagues to watch and wager on — especially with friends.

Kyle’s biggest tip for any bettor is simple: gamble responsibly. Only bet what you’re willing to lose and make sure to install a proper bankroll method to keep track of your ROI. If you’re still dwelling on the amount you lost the next day, it’s time to decrease your spending.
