North Texas’ Stealth Monitoring To Be Acquired by Montreal-Based GardaWorld

With 2,000 employees across more than 40 offices and eight video monitoring centers, Addison-based Stealth Monitoring says it monitors more than 100,000 cameras every night, resulting in “the deterrence of more than 50,000 criminal activities, more than 1,000 arrests, and the analysis of roughly 70,000 customer videos annually.”

Video still: Stealth Monitoring

Addison-based Stealth Monitoring, which focuses on commercial mobile and fixed video monitoring security solutions, has agreed to be acquired by GardaWorld Security Corp., a private security firm based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Terms of the deal, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter, were not disclosed.

Building on the foundation of GardaWorld’s ECAMSECURE platform—a more-than-30-year-old pioneer in outdoor video surveillance—the acquisition of Stealth Monitoring will establish GardaWorld as “a global leader in AI-powered remote video monitoring solutions,” GardaWorld said.

The acquisition will introduce proprietary technology and extensive product expertise as well as unite the complementary strengths and industry-leading technologies of both companies, significantly elevating the value and scope of its customer offerings, the Montreal-based company added.

“With decades of experience in mobile and fixed video monitoring, we see Stealth Monitoring as a highly complementary business to our existing global champion businesses and as an opportunity to establish an unrivaled North American leadership in mobile and fixed video monitoring,” Stephan Crétier, founder, president, and CEO of GardaWorld, said in a statement.

Erik Mikkelsen, Stealth Monitoring’s president and CRO, said the acquisition would hasten Stealth’s expansion.

“Our goal has always been to anticipate our client needs and continuously deliver the right solution,” Mikkelsen said in a statement. “GardaWorld shares our winning mindset and an incredible track record for elevating companies and operations in the security industry to the next level of growth and value creation.”

Proactive and intelligent video monitoring

Stealth Monitoring has roughly 2,000 employees across more than 40 offices and eight state-of-the-art video monitoring centers.

The company says it proactively monitors more than 100,000 cameras every night, resulting in the deterrence of more than 50,000 criminal activities, more than 1,000 arrests, and the analysis of roughly 70,000 customer videos annually.

GardaWorld is an entrepreneurial-driven corporation employing more than 132,000 professionals across the globe. Its focus is security services utilizing AI-enabled security technology, integrated risk management, and cash automation solutions.
