TAHLEQUAH – In response to the explosive growth of artificial intelligence and data-driven decision-making in today’s economy, Northeastern State University has announced a new bachelor of science degree in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics, launching this fall semester.
The program positions NSU at the forefront of tech-forward education in Oklahoma, empowering students to harness the power of AI and data across a wide range of industries – from healthcare and cybersecurity to finance and manufacturing.
“Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming every sector of our economy,” NSU President Rodney Hanley, said. “At NSU, we are committed to preparing our students for the world as it will be – not just as it is. This new degree reflects our mission to equip future leaders with the tools, knowledge and ethical grounding to thrive in the AI-driven workforce.”
The interdisciplinary curriculum merges core business fundamentals with hands-on technical training in AI tools, machine learning, data analytics and database management. It’s designed to reflect real-world industry needs and evolving workforce demands.
