Don’t look now, but the Dallas Cowboys are the NFL’s hottest team
The Dallas Cowboys may be on of the NFL’s hottest teams, but can they make the playoffs? USA TODAY Sports’ Jarrett bell breaks it down.

The New York Jets (2-9) aim to halt a two-game losing streak when they take on the Atlanta Falcons (4-7) in Week 13 of the NFL season.
The Jets were in it for longer than expected against the Ravens this past Sunday but couldn’t hold on as costly mistakes in the second half ended up being their downfall in a 23-10 loss in Baltimore in Week 12.
The Jets defense held up well against a Ravens offense that features two-time NFL MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson and former NFL Offensive Player of the Year in running back Derrick Henry, but the offense continuing to struggle couldn’t help out its defense. QB Tyrod Taylor — who was making his start this season — was a combined 4-for-13 on third and fourth down combined.
The Jets offense continues to consistently put up points given the lack of talent and young, inexperienced playmakers in the wide receiver room that is sorely missing No. 1 WR Garrett Wilson, who remains on injured reserve for at least another couple of weeks with a reaggravated knee injury he suffered in Week 10.
With the losses continuing to pile up, the Jets are one of three teams with a 2-9 record (Saints and Raiders) and are projected to have the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, according to Tankathon.

Jets vs. Falcons prediction
Jets 20, Falcons 17: The Jets offense wasn’t inspiring in Week 12, but that shouldn’t have come as a surprise against a Ravens defense that has gotten significantly better as they’ve gotten healthier since the beginning of next season.
The key factor here is Falcons star wide receiver Drake London, who missed Week 12 with a PCL injury he suffered the week prior, could be questionable and a game-time decision leading up all the way to kickoff.
I expect London to miss more week, as the Jets defense takes advantage and makes it a long and miserable day for Cousins, with the Jets pulling off the upset as a home underdog, winning this one by a field goal for their third win of the season.
