Origin Technology concluded its 2026 Regional Summit in Cairo, convening government officials, industry leaders, and technology specialists to discuss advances in supply chain digitalization, trackandtrace systems, and industrial automation.

Held under the theme “From Product Identification to Supply Chain Intelligence and Business Growth,” the summit examined how digital technologies and datadriven platforms are reshaping supply chain management across pharmaceuticals, logistics, and fastmoving consumer goods (FMCG).

Origin Technology showcased its latest product identification and trackandtrace solutions, including live demonstrations of equipment and software designed to enhance traceability, strengthen data management, and combat counterfeiting.

Sherif Abdelhakam, Chief Executive Officer of Origin Technology, said the company has expanded its focus from product identification to integrated digital solutions that connect production, operations, and supply chain data. He emphasized that these technologies improve efficiency and support datadriven decisionmaking.

The summit drew representatives from public and private organizations including the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement (UPA), Strategic Warehouses Company (SWMP), DAF Company, and the Egyptian Investment Company (ECMI). Leading pharmaceutical and industrial firms such as EIPICO, Pharco, MUP, Rameda, Utopia, Abbott, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, Ibnsina Pharma, EPX Logistics, RAMP, Shell, Schneider Electric, and Elsewedy Electric also participated.

Discussions highlighted preparations for Egypt’s pharmaceutical trackandtrace system, scheduled for implementation in 2026. Participants examined how digital technologies can support regulatory compliance, improve transparency, and strengthen product traceability across the sector.

A panel titled “Beyond Track & Trace” explored how traceability data can enhance inventory management, demand forecasting, and supply chain resilience. Speakers underscored the role of integrated platforms in boosting operational visibility across production and distribution networks.

The summit concluded with a recognition ceremony honoring customers and partners, while participants stressed the importance of continued investment in digital transformation and automation to build more resilient and transparent supply chains.
