Michelle Yeoh will be honored with the 2,836th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday, February 18th, at 11:30 am PT at 6927 Hollywood Boulevard. Yeoh will receive her star in the category of Motion Pictures. Joining emcees Jon M. Chu and Ang Lee will be Jenelle Riley.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce administers the legendary Walk of Fame for the City of Los Angeles and has proudly hosted the globally iconic star ceremonies for decades. Millions of people from here and around the world have visited this cultural landmark since 1960.

Her star honors a trailblazer whose work continues to inspire audiences worldwide.”
Michelle Yeoh is an internationally acclaimed, Malaysian-born actress who has been shattering convention for decades. In 2023, she made history as the first Asian performer to win the Academy Award for Best Actress for her unanimously lauded performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once. Her work in the film also earned Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards, while the film became A24’s highest-grossing release to date.
Yeoh rose to international prominence in 1990s Hong Kong action films and soon went on to star in myriad globally acclaimed blockbusters. Her extensive filmography spans more than 70 feature films and television projects and includes Ang Lee’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny; Rob Marshall’s Memoirs of a Geisha; Roger Spottiswoode’s Tomorrow Never Dies; Danny Boyle’s Sunshine; and Jon M. Chu’s Crazy Rich Asians, which became the highest-grossing romantic comedy in the U.S. in over a decade. After appearing in James Gunn’s second installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, Yeoh returned to the Marvel universe in Destin Daniel Cretton’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
Her recent and notable film credits include Kenneth Branagh’s A Haunting in Venice and Jon M. Chu’s blockbuster adaptation of Wicked and its sequel, Wicked: For Good.
Beyond her work on screen, Yeoh was named TIME Magazine’s “Icon of the Year” in 2022. In 2016, she was appointed a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme, where she focuses on raising awareness and mobilizing support for environmental issues. She is also a supporter of the IOC Refugee Olympic Team and advocates for organizations advancing women’s equality, road safety, and environmental protection.
