Rosario capped a historic season for the Lopes in the 200-meter dash, finishing 13th overall in the NCAA semifinal round with a time of 20.45 seconds at Oregon’s Hayward Field.
The GCU graduate sprint standout became one of the first athletes in program history to reach the national championship meet by capturing the Mountain West 200 title last month.
Rosario concluded the season as one of the nation’s top sprinters and added another milestone to an outdoor campaign that included conference championships and GCU records in the 100- and 200-meter races.
Burkett represented the Lopes in the triple jump and placed 15th nationally with a mark of 13.15 meters (43 feet, 1 3/4 inches). She closed her collegiate career after a stellar season featuring her Mountain West championship in the event and qualifying for the NCAA Championships against the nation’s top field-event athletes. Burkett closed her GCU career with a handful of program records that etched her name as one of the all-time Lope greats.
