Is it time for the Carolina Panthers to come up with a fresh look?

With some new aesthetics rolling out in the next few weeks, USA Today’s Nate Davis recently ranked all 32 NFL teams based off their uniforms. Davis doesn’t seem to be too keen about what the Panthers are putting on, and ranked them all the way down at No. 31.

He writes:

Not only do they look outdated, as most 1990s get-ups do, the Panthers just can’t stop tinkering – literally using 10 different uniform combinations in 2024. Talk about a lack of identity. Interesting fact about the logo: it’s meant to resemble the fused outline of North and South Carolina. It also looks better recessed like a shadow into the team’s alternate black helmets – Panthers thrive with camouflage, y’all. Otherwise? Keep the color scheme but reimagine everything below the neckline.

Well, at least Davis—like many others—is feeling the all-black uniform. Carolina introduced the alternate helmet in 2022, with its debut coming in a blacked-out 25-15 win over the division rival Atlanta Falcons.

But perhaps—with the franchise beginning another chapter under general manager Dan Morgan, head coach Dave Canales and quarterback Bryce Young—a few updates could eventually be on the way.
