The Better Business Bureau hosted the 8th Annual Industrious Women’s Summit last Friday, bringing together nearly 200 women from Phoenix’s business community. The summit, themed “Women Pioneering Progress,” underscored themes of education, networking, and empowerment, particularly for those navigating male-dominated industries. ABC15 reported that the event served as a platform for business owners and entrepreneurs to share insights on leveraging technology, leadership, financial literacy, and legal safeguards for businesses.
Moving to events out east, the Women in Business Summit will be celebrating its 20th year next month in Springfield. Kisha Zullo, the founder of Events of Joy, initially launched the conference to foster a space for accomplished women to exchange knowledge, aiming to chip away at challenges like the wage gap, which, according to BusinessWest, has seen some improvement from 77 cents to a dollar to about 83 cents since the summit’s inception in 2005.
Keynote speakers and presenters, such as Endia DeCordova and a roster of influential business figures, are set to deliver interactive sessions on a variety of subjects ranging from managing burnout to the intricacies of artificial intelligence. Zullo emphasized the importance of experience-driven presentations, reflecting on the summit’s evolution and the positive feedback received. “That just makes my heart soar, to hear those kinds of testimonials,” Zullo told BusinessWest.
