A plane headed for the Phoenix-Goodyear Airport landed in a cornfield nearly 9 miles east of the airport.
Crews were dispatched at about noon May 23 after hearing reports of a plane crash near 99th and West Southern avenues, the Phoenix Fire Department said.
Crews arrived to find the plane safely landed. All passengers were uninjured and refused medical treatment, officials said.
All department vehicles returned to service. As of 1:30 p.m. May 23, it was unclear whether the plane was removed from the field.
