Dedicated leadership across AI, technology and product

Prosus today announces a new leadership team for AI, technology and product. Euro Beinat takes on the role of Chief AI Officer; Paul van der Boor has been appointed Chief Technology Officer; while entrepreneur, investor and founder of WeTransfer and Boomerang, Nalden (Ronald Hans), joins Prosus as Chief Product Officer. They will lead on Prosus’s AI strategy, building and shipping products to help supercharge AI-led growth for the partners and SMEs within the Prosus extended ecosystem.

For years, Prosus has been building technology to make life simpler for customers at iFood, OLX, PayU and more, training AI models on real customer interactions. That work has produced an unified intelligence layer, built on the real commerce behaviour of Prosus’s one billion customers. The new leadership team will now take that intelligence layer and turn it into products for people and partners across the ecosystem.

Fabricio Bloisi, CEO, Prosus, said: “With this team we plug the best product leadership in Europe into one of the biggest commerce data sets in the world. I want Prosus to ship like a startup and learn like a platform, ten times faster.”

The new leadership

Euro Beinat joined Prosus in 2018 and has built the company’s AI team and systems from the ground up. Euro now takes on the role of Chief AI Officer, with the goal of creating the leading AI Lab in Europe.

“Prosus has built some of the most robust AI systems in Europe. We have developed AI technologies, science and tools that support millions of users globally. Our intelligence learns from real commerce, from how people actually buy, sell and run businesses. That’s a different kind of AI and gives us a huge opportunity to leverage our internal research and data analysis in support of our ecosystems and their customers. Prosus is entering a new era – a chance for the best people in the field to work on problems they won’t find anywhere else.” Euro Beinat, Chief AI Officer

Paul van der Boor steps up from VP of AI to Chief Technology Officer. Paul has worked across the whole Prosus group, from Europe, to Brazil and India, turning world-class technology into products that deliver real business impact.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be working alongside Euro and Nalden, during what is certainly the most interesting time in history to be a builder. Prosus has something rare: one billion people across Latin America, India and Europe using our products and services. My ambition is to build incredible products that are still creating value for people more than a decade from now. Every new wave of technology creates a new generation of companies shaping the future. We are making Prosus one of them.” Paul van der Boor, Chief Technology Officer

Nalden joins Prosus as Chief Product Officer. Nalden co-founded WeTransfer in 2009 and built it into a global product used by tens of millions, with almost no outside investment or marketing, in a category dominated by clunky incumbents. Since then he’s backed and built across the European tech scene as a founder and investor with an instinct for products people actually want to use.

“I care about the customer – the moment they first use the product through to when they put it down at the end of the day. Prosus has everything a builder could want at a scale that gives us endless opportunity. My approach stays the same as it was at WeTransfer and at Boomerang: people should recommend a product not because it is useful, but because it becomes impossible not to.” Nalden, Chief Product Officer
