A “rebellious” take on fine dining is headed to Dallas’ Design District as the area continues to attract new business.
Punk Noir, a 20-course tasting menu-only restaurant, has claimed the space at 139 Turtle Creek Blvd. in Suite 130 and expects to open early next year.
The restaurant aims to disrupt the conventional experience seen in fine dining throughout Dallas. The 9,500-square-foot restaurant will fill out an existing warehouse space, which was formerly vacant and already houses a BowlGames venue. Guests will move through multiple spaces lined with graffiti and punk-like visuals before getting a look at the night’s selected courses from James Beard Award-winning chef RJ Cooper. The 20-course menu, featuring sometimes bite-sized options, will commence in a neon-lit dining room and conclude in the restaurant’s Noir Lounge.
Punk Noir will host two to three settings per night with only 26 seats available at a time. The restaurant did not disclose the cost per seat. The lounge can seat up to 46 guests and will offer cocktails and small bites for those not partaking in the full experience.
