Republic Services is the official sustainability partner for the upcoming Phoenix 10K and Marathon, which is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 9.
As part of this partnership, Republic Services will play a key role in minimizing the environmental impact of the event by implementing comprehensive waste reduction, recycling, and sustainability initiatives throughout the race weekend, according to a press release.
“The partnership with Republic Services is a vital step toward making the Phoenix 10K and Marathon not only a premier athletic event but also a model for environmental responsibility,” said Dr. Art Mollen, founder of the Phoenix 10K. “We are proud to collaborate with Republic Services to ensure our event leaves a positive footprint in the community.”
Republic Services brings decades of experience in sustainable waste management and community engagement, supporting the event’s efforts to reduce landfill waste and encourage recycling among participants and spectators.

The Phoenix 10K and Marathon, now featuring its inaugural full marathon, draws thousands of runners from across the region and beyond.
