San Antonio’s most iconic buildings will be lit up on New Year’s Eve in a synchronized lighting display.

The Alamodome, Henry B. González Convention Center, Tower of the Americas, Monarch Hotel and Marriott Rivercenter are included in the coordinated skyline illumination on Wednesday evening.

“This initiative is about more than lighting individual buildings; it is about composing a
skyline,” Eduardo Orozco, president at ISI City Smart Lights, a San Antonio-based urban lighting company, said in a news release.

The company, founded in 2005, announced on Monday that they had finished the citywide initiative ahead of the New Year’s Eve unveiling. It’s the first year they have done such a project, and one they hope to turn into a tradition, Orozco said.

The lighting display will start one minute before midnight.

“By connecting these iconic landmarks through smart illumination, we are creating a shared visual language for the city, one that reflects the power of intelligent technology, artistic vision, and scalable urban innovation,” Orozco said.
