The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce and its Latino Business Alliance has announced the 2026 honorees for the 9th Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration: Awards and Networking Reception, taking place Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at The Centre in Santa Clarita.
This year, the SCV Chamber and LBA will recognize Gerardo Robledo, owner of Guanatos Tacos and Las Originales Mexican Grill and Bar, and Sophisticated Stone Inc. for their contributions to the Santa Clarita Valley business community. They will be honored alongside Santa Clarita City Councilmember Bill Miranda, who was previously announced as the recipient of the 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his longstanding leadership, service and contributions to the Santa Clarita Valley.
“Each year, our Hispanic Heritage Celebration gives us an opportunity to recognize individuals and businesses that demonstrate the entrepreneurial spirit, leadership and commitment that make our community stronger,” said Claudia Carrillo, Chair of the Latino Business Alliance. “Gerardo Robledo and Sophisticated Stone Inc. are wonderful examples of the businesses and entrepreneurs we are proud to celebrate, and we are excited to recognize them alongside Bill Miranda at this year’s event.”
Robledo has built a strong presence in the local restaurant community through Guanatos Tacos and Las Originales Mexican Grill and Bar, while Sophisticated Stone Inc. will be recognized for its contributions to the local business community and Hispanic entrepreneurship in the Santa Clarita Valley.
The celebration will also highlight the next generation of local leaders, with two Bowman High School students each receiving a scholarship, sponsored by Guanatos Tacos and Cali Construction Company. Guests will also enjoy special cultural performances featuring mariachi singing by Alfredo Reveles and traditional dance by Canyon High School Ballet Folklórico.
Now in its ninth year, the Hispanic Heritage Celebration has grown into the largest gathering of Hispanic and Latino businesses and supporters in the Santa Clarita Valley. Held during National Hispanic Heritage Month, the annual celebration brings together business leaders, community partners and residents to recognize the accomplishments, culture and contributions of the Hispanic and Latino community.
“For nine years, our Hispanic Heritage Celebration has brought our community together to celebrate the entrepreneurs, businesses and leaders who contribute so much to the Santa Clarita Valley,” said Ivan Volschenk, President/CEO of the SCV Chamber. “Gerardo Robledo and Sophisticated Stone Inc. embody the drive and dedication we set out to honor each year. And this year, we’re especially proud to celebrate Bill Miranda’s lifetime of leadership and service to this Valley.”
