On Thursday, a vehicle crashed into several parked cars and the front of a local business. The driver left the scene but was later identified as Alexander Gomez, a security guard from nearby. He returned while deputies were still there. The Harris County Constable Precinct 4 reported that signs of intoxication were observed, and field sobriety tests confirmed it.
The incident escalated when it was revealed that Gomez, working as a security guard, was armed during the crash. He attempted to escape custody after being handcuffed but was stopped by nearby officers. The Constable’s statement said, “Alexander Gomez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with felony Driving While Intoxicated -3rd offense and Escape,” as stated by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Gomez is being held at the Harris County Jail on a $30,000 bond set by the 228th District Court.
