The first in-season update of the year to Baseball America’s MLB Draft rankings expands the list to the top 300 players in the 2026 class.

You can see the new 2026 draft rankings here.

The first in-season update of the draft cycle has historically been the most dramatic in terms of up/down movement throughout the board. Things are steady at the top, though, with UCLA shortstop Roch Cholowsky still the top-ranked player in the class and Texas prep shortstop Grady Emerson ranked No. 2 as the top overall high school player.

UC Santa Barbara righthander Jackson Flora takes over status as SP1 in this update, while Alabama shortstop Justin Lebron and Georgia Tech catcher Vahn Lackey round out the top five.

The No. 1 team in the country, UCLA, leads all schools with eight players ranked in the top 300. Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State and North Carolina each have seven players ranked. Orange Lutheran High School in California leads all high school programs with four ranked players.

In terms of committed players, the SEC dominates this ranking. LSU leads all programs with 13 ranked commits, followed by Vanderbilt (11), Tennessee (9), Texas (9) and Mississippi State (7).

BA subscribers can read draft reports for the entire top 300 below.

Check out the complete list of draft prospects above, featuring updated scouting reports and college commitments for prep players. You can find all of our rankings here.
