BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Seven former Texas A&M baseball players have been selected to compete in the 2026 MLB Spring Breakout event, as announced Thursday morning.

The Maroon & White will be represented by Chris Cortez (Los Angeles Angels), Brandyn Garcia (Arizona Diamondbacks), Kaeden Kent (New York Yankees), Justin Lamkin (Kansas City Royals), Jace LaViolette (Cleveland Guardians), Braden Montgomery (Chicago White Sox) and Kaiden Wilson (Miami Marlins).

The third annual Spring Breakout event will be held from March 19-22. Sixteen exhibition games will be played league-wide over the four-day span, featuring the top prospects and future stars of Major League Baseball.

Montgomery headlines the crowd of Aggies selected to participate, ranking as the No. 36 minor league prospect in MLB Pipeline’s top 100 list and as the top-rated talent in the Chicago White Sox system. Cortez (No. 13), Garcia (No. 20), Kent (No. 13), Lamkin (No. 15) and LaViolette (No. 9) each sit inside the top-30 prospect ranking for their respective clubs.

All Spring Breakout games will stream live on MLB.TV, MLB.com and the MLB app for free. Select games will be featured on MLB Network. The full television schedule for the 2026 Spring Breakout Event can be found here.
