Fire officials say between four and five families are without a home after a Saturday afternoon fire ripped through a West New York building.
The North Hudson Regional fire chief says the call came in around 12:30 p.m. reporting smoke at a building on 54th Street.
Everyone was out of the building when first responders arrived. There were no reported injuries.
Part of Bergenline Avenue was closed for about five hours as crews battled the four-alarm fire.
A cause of the fire was not immediately known as of Saturday night.
