INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Johns Hopkins men’s track and field team will send six student-athletes to the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, set for March 13-14 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama, the association announced.

Anthony Clark, Alex Colletti, Matthew Kelly, Emmanuel Leblond, Sebastian Tangelson and Caleb Tenney will represent the Blue Jays across four events during the two-day championship meet.

Action begins Friday with Tangelson competing in the opening event of the heptathlon, the 60-meter dash. The Centennial Conference champion will look to capture his first national title in the event. Four of the heptathlon’s seven events will take place on Friday, with the remaining three contested Saturday to determine the national champion.

Later Friday evening, Colletti will compete in the preliminary round of the 200-meter dash, where the top eight finishers will advance to Saturday’s final.

The first day of competition will conclude with a trio of Blue Jays—Clark, Kelly and Leblond—competing in the 5,000 meters. Leblond, last year’s national runner-up in the event, enters the meet with the second-fastest time in Division III this season. Clark, meanwhile, is the fastest freshman in the field and holds the fourth-fastest time nationally.

Saturday’s competition begins at 5:50 p.m. with Tenney competing in the 3,000 meters. The Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year enters the meet as the fastest freshman in Division III history in the event and will look to contend for a podium finish.
