Southside Bank held a grand opening and ribbon cutting for its new location in Shenandoah on May 12.

The bank will be a sponsor of the upcoming South County Fourth of July Parade and launch its inaugural Little Patriots Shoebox Float Competition, in which families can build a shoebox-sized float to return to the bank by June 22. One entrant will win a cash price on July 4, according to information from the company.

According to information from the business website, it offers personal and business banking as well as wealth management, loan and mortgage services.

Quote of note

“Since making The Woodlands my home 16 years ago, I’ve experienced the South County Fourth of July Parade from almost every angle imaginable—as a volunteer, a judge, an announcer and an entrant,” said Amos McDonald, Houston market president for Southside Bank. “This parade beautifully exemplifies the deep patriotism and love for country that defines Montgomery County.”
