A news network spanning 41 states has added Spanish-language programming.

Spectrum News, which has a hold in several Florida metro markets, is now offering Spanish-language  programming. Spectrum Noticias, the name of the Spanish-language news network, is now airing in the markets that Spectrum is offered on cable and streaming services.

The new Spanish-language news programming will air 24 hours of coverage and will feature national coverage on major events, weather forecasts and reporting on issues facing Hispanic culture, lifestyle and heritage.

“Objective journalism is a key pillar of a democratic society and Spectrum News is at the forefront,” said Mike Bair, Executive Vice President of Spectrum Networks. “The launch of Spectrum Noticias underscores our dedication by expanding access to high-quality news programming and providing a trusted option to our Spanish-speaking viewers.”

While national coverage will be the main focus of Spectrum Noticias, the network is already expanding its journalistic reach into some of the largest markets in the country. Spanish-language news coverage bureaus have already been opened in Los Angeles, New York City, Texas and Florida.

“These reporters focus on news relevant to their respective markets, covering local politics, current events and stories that impact the Hispanic community. As a result, Spectrum Noticias viewers in these markets see additional local headlines every 30 minutes throughout the day,” a Spectrum news release said.

Anchoring much of the coverage on the new Spanish-language operations will be Patsi Arias broadcasting in the morning. Philip Klint will on the anchor desk in the afternoons.

Managing the coverage of Spectrum Noticea will be Maria Rozman, who is the Senior Director that will oversee editorial content. She’s won five Emmy Awards and was recently News Director of the Spanish-language operations for Telemundo in Atlanta.

“In addition to our English-language networks, our launch of Spectrum Noticias brings Spectrum News’ brand of award-winning storytelling to an audience that prefers to watch their news in Spanish,” said Rozman. “With our team of journalists living in the communities we serve, we deliver reliable and balanced local, national and international news that is relevant to the Spanish-speaking community.”
