We have a very exciting featherweight showdown coming to us this fall when a pair of surging contenders in no. 12 ranked Steve Garcia (18-5) and no. 13 ranked David Onama (14-2) square off at UFC Fight Night 263.

UFC FN 263, also titled UFC Vegas 110, is to go down on November 1, 2025, live from the UFC Apex in Enterprise, Nevada.

Following a 1-2 start to his promotional tenure 33 year old Steve Garcia has really been coming into his own as of late, currently riding a six fight win streak showcasing victories over the likes of Chase Hooper (TKO), Shayilan Nuerdanbieke (KO), Melquizael Costa (KO), Seung Woo Choi (TKO), Kyle Nelson (TKO), and Calvin Kattar (UD), the Kattar fight of which snapped his then current record for the longest active knockout streak in the UFC.

31 year old David Onama, like Garcia, also lost his UFC debut in a very gutsy performance against Mason Jones (UD), before winning his next two against Gabriel Benitez (KO) and Garrett Armfield (arm-triangle choke), a rematch of their 2018 amateur title fight that saw Onama the victor via unanimous decision.

After a 2-1 start under the UFC banner Onama then lost to Nate Landwehr (MD) before winning his last four straight over the likes of Gabriel Santos (KO), Jonathan Pearce (UD), Roberto Romero (UD), and Giga Chikadze (UD).

As you see, both men are riding impressive win streaks, and each of them have wins over former kickboxing champions; Garcia’s over Seung Woo Choi, and Onama’s over Giga Chikadze. They also have similar promotional records, Garcia going 7-2 since joining the promotion in 2020, and Onama going 6-2 since joining in 2021.

Who wins this featherweight contest going down at UFC Vegas 110?

I became a fan of combat sports when I was 12 years old. I was scrolling through the channels and landed upon Versus, where WEC was televised. Urijah Faber fought Jens Pulver for the second time that night. That’s the first fight I ever saw, and I was immediately hooked. So eventually, I began covering the sport in the fourth quarter of 2018, and have since started writing about animals as well.
