Stoudt Awarded CSCAA Scholar All-America Honor

CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams | CSCAA Scholar All-America Individuals

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. — The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its individual Scholar All-America teams Thursday, July 3, and junior diver Gabriella Stoudt (Maple Plain, Minn./Delano) represented the Gustavus women’s swimming & diving team. 

To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-team selections, must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a “B” time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.

A biochemistry major, Stoudt collected her first CSCAA honor after qualifying for the NCAA Central Regional Diving Championships. She took 26th on both the 1- and 3-meter boards in her first NCAA appearance on March 1. Stoudt placed third off the 3-meter board at the MIAC Championships with a score of 411.35 to earn her first All-MIAC selection. Off the 1-meter board at the conference meet, Stoudt was the first Honorable Mention selection with a fourth place 405.40. She took eighth (1-meter) and 11th (3-meter) the year before. 

The junior earned MIAC Diver of the Week honors twice while leading the Gustie divers in every meet this season. Prior to the conference meet, Stoudt ranked second in the conference on both the 1- and 3-meter boards (11 dives). She led all MIAC competitors at the Carleton Dodd Road Invitational, finishing with a top score of 392.55 in the 1-meter for first overall, and taking second in the 3-meter with a 342.40. She was also named to the MIAC Academic All-Conference list and was a member of the CSC Academic All-Distric team. 

The Gustavus women’s swimming & diving team was also named CSCAA Scholar All-America, recognized for maintaining a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 during the semester. The Gustie women posted a GPA of 3.65 with the most rostered athletes of any school in Division III. 

The Gustavus men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams made history in 2024-25, as both teams repeated as MIAC Championships for the first time. The title was the sixth consecutive for the men’s program and the 27th in program history, while the women collected their first back-to-back titles since the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. First-year Geneva Fackler (Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata) became the first MIAC swimmer to be named both the MIAC Rookie and Swimmer of the Year, while Jon Carlson ’88 collected his fifth Coach of the Year award for the Gustie women.
