NATCHITOCHES, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Production has been announced for the fourth season of the official podcast of Northwestern State University’s (NSU) Hispanic Student Journalism Association (HJSA), Latino Living.

Latino Living focuses on issues affecting Latino communities while highlighting the Hispanic presence at NSU and in the Natchitoches area.

It also explores everyday challenges faced by Latinos, including cultural differences and adapting to life outside one’s home country.

Produced by students, Latino Living allows members to develop their skills in media production, storytelling, and communication while creating meaningful and impactful content every day.

It also provides a platform to promote cultural awareness and amplify Latino voices through interviews, discussions, and personal stories.

The host of Latino Living, Isabel Rubio Juárez, a senior majoring in Communication Studies with a minor in Business Administration, serves as the president of the Hispanic Student Journalism Association at NSU.

She is supported by Communication Studies major Mayte Sierra. The two Guanajuato, Mexico, natives lead conversations that amplify Latino voices on campus and in Natchitoches.

The HSJA encourages students to get involved in a campus community that values cultural exchange, diversity, and representation.

Participating gives students the opportunity to connect with others, learn about Latino culture, and develop communication and media skills.

HSJA creates a space for Latino voices to be shared with the broader NSU and Natchitoches communities through its initiatives and projects. Latino Living is available on YouTube.
