AND A GOOD TUESDAY TO YOU. LOOK AT ALL THE RAIN THAT HAS FALLEN IN THE PAST 24 HOURS ON THE CAPE AND MARTHA’S VINEYARD, ONE TO OVER TWO INCHES OF RAIN, CLOSE TO AN INCH UP TO PLYMOUTH. AND THEN THE AMOUNTS DID DROP OFF SOME CLOSER TO A HALF AN INCH. BOSTON BACK TO WORCESTER, BUT THERE WERE SOME SPOTS OUT IN WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS THAT PICKED UP OVER AN INCH OF RAIN AS WELL. SO A GOOD SOAKING HERE THE LAST 24 HOURS, HELPING TO WASH SOME OF THE POLLEN OUT OF THE AIR. BUT YOU CAN SEE ALL THE RAIN NOW IS GONE AND THE CLOUDS ARE IN THE PROCESS OF BREAKING. THIS MORNING THEY WILL CONTINUE TO DO THAT AS THE DAY WEARS ON. AS DRIER AIR WORKS IN IN THE WAKE OF THIS FRONTAL BOUNDARY. SO IT IS STILL PRETTY MUGGY EARLY ON WITH DEW POINT TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 60S, BUT YOU CAN SEE THAT DRIER AIR TO THE WEST AND THAT WILL START WORKING ON IN. SO YOU’RE GOING TO FEEL A CHANGE TO THE AIR AS WE GET INTO THE AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES THOUGH, JUMP UP FROM NEAR 70 THIS MORNING. WE’RE GOING TO BE NEAR 80 THIS AFTERNOON. THAT WEST SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS SUSTAINED AROUND 15TH MAY GUST OVER 20MPH. AND THAT WILL PUSH THE WARMTH ALL THE WAY TO THE COAST. SO WE’RE TALKING LOW 80S FROM PLYMOUTH UP TO THE NEW HAMPSHIRE SEACOAST, INCLUDING BOSTON, MAY GET AS WARM AS ABOUT 85 AND NORWOOD CLOSE TO 80 OUT THROUGH THE WORCESTER HILLS. BUT CLOSER TO 70 FOR YOU ON CAPE COD. BUT STILL A WARM AFTERNOON ON THE WAY AND YOU FEEL THAT DEW POINT TEMPERATURE DROP. YOU CAN SEE HOW IT KIND OF SLOWLY SETTLES BACK INTO THE MID 50S. BY THE TIME WE GET TOWARD THIS EVENING. SO WITH THE DRIER AIR COMING IN TONIGHT AND MAINLY CLEAR SKIES GOING TO BE MORE COMFORTABLE NIGHT FOR SLEEPING. IF YOU WANT TO GIVE THE AC A BREAK AND OPEN UP THE WINDOWS, ABOUT 55 TO 60 TONIGHT FOR OVERNIGHT LOWS. TOMORROW WE’LL CALL PARTLY SUNNY. WE WILL HAVE SUN IN THE MORNING AND THEN BUILDING CLOUDS AND CAN’T RULE OUT A SPOT SHOWER OR TWO IN THE AFTERNOON. IT IS GOING TO BE A COOLER DAY THAN TODAY. NO 80S. WE’RE GOING TO KEEP IT IN THE 70S TOMORROW WITH MORNING SUNSHINE THERE. THE BUILDING CLOUDS AND IN TERMS OF RAINFALL DURING THE DAYLIGHT HOURS TOMORROW, IT’S JUST A FEW HIT OR MISS POP UP SHOWERS, MAYBE THUNDERSHOWERS TOMORROW TOWARD EVENING AND THEN LOOK WHAT HAPPENS TOMORROW NIGHT. THE RAIN STARTS TO FILL IN. SO BY THE TIME WE’RE WAKING UP THURSDAY MORNING, THERE WILL BE SOME STEADIER RAIN AROUND. AND THAT MAY CONTINUE THROUGH ABOUT LUNCHTIME ON THURSDAY. BEFORE THIS, ALL SCOOTS ON OUT AND WE’LL DRY THINGS OUT. WHAT IT IS IS AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE THAT LOOKS LIKE IT’S GOING TO TRACK VERY CLOSE TO SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND, AND THAT WILL BRING IN THAT NEXT ROUND OF STEADIER RAIN. ALSO IS GOING TO DRAG IN SOME COOLER TEMPERATURES. SO WE’RE TALKING ABOUT TEMPERATURES ON THURSDAY WITH THE CLOUDS IN THE RAIN LIKELY NOT GETTING OUT OF THE 60S IN TERMS OF HOW MUCH RAINFALL POTENTIAL FOR AROUND A HALF AN INCH OR SO. SO IT LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER SOAKING TO HELP WASH SOME OF THAT POLLEN OUT OF THE AIR. AND THEN WE DRY OUT ON FRIDAY, GET BACK SOME SUNSHINE WITH LOW HUMIDITY AND TEMPERATURES SNEAKING BACK UP THROUGH THE LOW TO MID 70 THIS WEEKEND. SO FOR THE FIRST WEEKEND OF JUNE IS LOOKING GOOD. SUNSHINE A
