- Fleming, a second-round pick from Saint Joseph’s, participated in practice and shootaround Thursday but was ruled out for Friday’s game.
LAS VEGAS — Phoenix Suns second-round pick Rasheer Fleming will have to wait to make his NBA Summer League debut.
Fleming was ruled out for Friday’s opener, July 11, against the Washington Wizards at Thomas & Mack Center with right knee soreness.
The 6-foot-8-inch forward out of Saint Joseph’s participated in Thursday’s practice in Las Vegas. He was the last player to leave the gym after getting up extra shots.
Fleming, who turned 21 on July 10, also participated in the morning shootaround, but was on the Suns bench in a black T-shirt and pants for the game.
The Suns continue summer league play Sunday against the Atlanta Hawks.
