Sustainability And Female Empowerment Lead The Way At Miami Swim Week 2025

Every May, the city of Miami turns up the heat for the annual ritual of swimwear, skin, and spectacle at Miami Swim Week – The Shows founded by Moh Ducis. Held from May 28 to June 1, 2025, and produced by DCSW Group, at the Mondrian South Beach, the event brought together both leading and emerging names in swimwear and resortwear to display their latest collections across over 60 runway shows and special events. The decade-long tenure of this event and the ever-growing showcase of presenting designers once again demonstrated that swimwear, often dismissed as frivolous, is increasingly becoming a platform for values-driven storytelling.

This year, two major themes dominated the runways: sustainability and female empowerment. Across sixty collections, designers embraced repurposed and eco-friendly materials while celebrating bodies of all shapes and ages with inclusive sizing and flattering silhouettes. Mix in the metallics, bold prints, unexpected cutouts, and memorable embellishments, and you get a powerful message: swimwear this year is about empowering women to stand tall in their own skin.

While the overarching themes were consistent, the swim- and resort- wear interpretations varied widely. Some designers opted for subtle nods to sustainability, like the swimsuits made from ocean-salvaged nylon or cover-ups dyed with natural pigments, while others took a more overt approach by building entire collections around environmental activism or female-led narratives.

From established brands to emerging designers-to-watch, below are 30+ collections that have made the biggest splash at the Miami Swim Week – The Shows.

The Delarose Sisters

If Barbie had a favorite swimwear brand, our bets would be on The Delarose Sisters. The London-based swimwear brand set the runway alight with its ultra-feminine, retro-inspired line; think high-cut one-pieces, plaid bikini sets in pastel hues, and lots and lots of pink. The best part? Each piece is made from recycled materials in a solar-powered factory!

The Great Escape Swimwear

Sustainable brand The Great Escape Swimwear takes inspiration from cities all over the world, and their Miami Dade collection did just that, channeling the vibrant spirit of Miami with bold prints and bright colors.

Oisrí

For NYC-based label Oisrí, it’s all in the details. Classic swim styles are elevated with beaded floral embellishments, detailed embroidery, crystals, gemstones, and eye-catching cutouts to create an ethereal and whimsical collection.

Bombshell Sportswear

Since 2014, Bombshell Sportswear has been on a mission to empower women to feel strong and confident with their eco-conscious activewear, and their swim line was no different. Made from glittery fabrics in vibrant colours like lime, watermelon, and peach, this collection is designed for women who want to stand out.

Montage Swimwear

When Montage Swimwear debuted 12 capsule collections, it wasn’t just the stunning designs that had people talking—it was the women behind them. Each collection was designed by a different model, like Selling Sunset’s Bri Tiese and Amazing Race’s Kayla Fitzgerald, as the brand aims to empower models to launch their own collections.

Mars the Label

Three words define Arianna Atjer’s latest collection: main character energy. With bold silhouettes, striking embellishments, and vibrant colourways, Mars the Label empowers women to stand out and be seen.

O Niki

Neelu Ameen, founder of Australian brand O Niki, blends her Indian heritage with her love of sustainability and Australia’s beach culture in this vibrant collection made from eco-friendly materials. Every detail, from the heritage prints to the bikini ties inspired by the traditional choli, pays homage to India in a modern way.

Omni Beach Life

For Omni Beach Life founder Dean Richards, the beach isn’t just a destination; it’s a lifestyle. With revealing string bikinis, daring cutouts, and bold colors, his latest swim collection channels the laidback coastal cool of Brazil while empowering women to exude confidence and fearless femininity.

Haus of McLees

Led by founder Mclees Mantegazza, ethical brand Haus of McLees is focused on empowering women to express their unique identity and style. Her playful collection features swimsuits adorned with shells, beads, and crystal charms, which takes inspiration from Mantegazza’s love of music festivals and pays homage to the traditional beadwork practices of her Shoshone tribe.

Moda Minx

London-based brand Moda Minx brought the heat with their bold, maximalist collection. Bright metallic swimsuits, sheer dresses, and bedazzled mesh skirts and jackets dominated the runway—each piece dripping in charms, beads, gems, and starfish. Featuring plus-size models, the brand made a powerful statement on body inclusivity.

Live Kolibri

Luxury resortwear brand Live Kolibri’s collection doesn’t just look good—it does good. Born from a love of the ocean and the earth, the brand uses over 99% biobased and recycled materials and partners with the Padi Aware Foundation to clean oceans and protect marine life. For Miami Swim Week, the brand dazzled with vibrant prints for both male and female collections.

Eme Swim

Eme Swim is for women confident enough to wear lingerie in public—or at least swimwear that looks like it. The lingerie-inspired collection features bustiers adorned with bows and lace trimming paired with matching bottoms, as well as string bikinis made from plaid, denim, and polka dot prints, redefining what is considered swimwear.

E Kaye Collection

The collection sent down the runway by couture brand E Kaye Collection felt more like wearable art than traditional swimwear. What stands out is the expert craftsmanship and unique mix of materials, from the avant-garde silhouettes and intricate beadwork to the bold use of leopard print and sequins. With pieces like an embellished asymmetrical skirt and a sparkly lace one-piece, E Kaye Collection is blurring the lines between swimwear and couture.

Harti SWIM

Look at the vibrant pop-art printed swimsuits of sustainable luxury brand Harti SWIM and you’d have no idea they were made from recycled plastic bottles. Founder Tessa Hartmann gets her signature print from her husband Sascha Hartmann’s pop art, fusing art, fashion and sustainability into a show-stopping collection. “Made for sirens, not sidekicks,” as stated on the brand’s website, the collection is for women who demand to be seen.

Lascana

Inclusive brand Lascana designs swimwear for all body shapes and sizes, featuring brightly colored fabrics and striking cut-outs. Female empowerment is symbolized by royalty-inspired accessories: tiaras, billowing capes, fluffy fans, and pearl necklaces fit for a queen.

Everlast

Iconic boxing brand Everlast® was actually founded as a swimwear label in 1910, so it’s no surprise they know a thing or two about swimwear. Five emerging designers—eLINZI, Kene Kaya, MERC Swim, Electric Picks and Sovereign Society Couture—designed the boxing-inspired collections as part of the Everlast Emerging Designer Competition. Complete with boxing gloves and athletic cuts, Everlast’s collections are a literal embodiment of female strength.

Megan Mae Miami

Women are powerful—that’s the statement made loud and clear by luxury brand Megan Mae Miami when they showcased their designs in models styled like actual goddesses. Picture gold wreaths, arm cuffs, flowy hair, and earthy-toned swimwear that exudes strength and beauty.

Smart Swimsuits

These aren’t just swimsuits—they’re sun protection too. Smart Swimsuits uses innovative fabrics that block harmful UV rays and prevent harsh tan lines, plus they’re environmentally friendly. The innovative collection features long-sleeved one pieces and bikinis in vibrant prints, plus shorts and sheer shirts for men.

Element by Elodie

Led by founder Elodie Garcka, Element by Elodie made its debut at Miami Swim Week and proved it’s one to watch. Embellished with lace appliqué, beads, pearls, and gemstones, each piece is designed to boost women’s confidence and make them feel in their element—pun intended.

Wealthy Wet

Wealthy Wet is all about timeless elegance, rejecting the fleeting trends of fast fashion. Inspired by the classic sophistication of old money, the collection features elegant cuts and silhouettes that will remain relevant for years to come, not just for a season. The brand prides itself on exclusivity, only producing collections in limited batches with absolutely no restocks.

CI Swimwear

CI Swimwear knows how to deliver glamour. With shimmering metallic bikinis, one-pieces with bold cutouts, and their logo proudly emblazoned across most pieces, the collection exudes confidence and edge.

Ema Savahl

Fashion brand Ema Savahl celebrated the power and femininity of modern women with its captivating collection “In Goddesses We Trust”. It’s easy to see why the brand describes its designs as “wearable art”—each piece looks like it was painted directly onto the model. An innovative mix of vintage corsets, striking cutouts, and wind-powered materials in metallic hues of gold, silver, purple, and green, the whimsical collection feels straight out of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Elsa Fairy Dresses

Kids couture house Elsa Fairy Dresses ignited the stage with sparkly, voluminous gowns true to its whimsical brand name, worn by both child and adult models.

Cioccolato Couture

Cioccolato Couture teamed up with Pojema to create a luxury pyjama collection, featuring matching sets made from satin and lace, with ostrich feather-inspired trimming on the cuffs and pants. Don’t be fooled by the term “pyjamas”; with expert craftsmanship and luxury fabrics, these looks demand to be seen, whether you’re lounging at a resort or relaxing on a yacht.

Malvada Swimwear

Brazilian brand Malvada Swimwear, known for its commitment to size inclusivity and sustainability, made a bold debut at Miami Swim Week with bright colors and striking cuts. Each piece, handmade in Brazil, is designed to flatter and celebrate every body shape, with many featuring customizable sliders so you can get the perfect fit, every time.

Badi Swimwear X Ashley Carson

Brazillian brand Badi Swimwear teamed up with jewelry designer Ashley Carson to create a Miami Vice-inspired collection that channels the glamour and energy of the ‘80s. With a mission to make women feel confident enough to stand out, the brand showcased striking pieces with bright neon colors, plunging necklines, and waist chains handcrafted by Ashley Carson.

Elle Swimwear

Elle Swimwear showed off its wild side with a safari-inspired collection. Animal-print swimwear—like zebra stripes, cheetah spots, and leopard print—was paired with oversized hats, headscarves, and kimonos, creating a collection that exudes fierce confidence. Plus size model @presidentniki praised the brand for their commitment to body positivity, writing on Instagram “…the designer has to ultimate power to include plus size or not and I’m so thankful…They are changing the world.”

Serotone Swim

As its name suggests, Serotone Swim is dedicated to making women feel good in their swimwear—no matter their age or shape. After witnessing her mother struggle to find flattering swimwear while going through menopause, founder Sarah Blaser wanted to create a brand that celebrates women’s diverse and ever-changing bodies without compromising on style or sustainability. Her debut collection for Miami Swim Week delivered on that promise, with flattering cuts and tasteful cover-ups in vibrant yet sophisticated prints.

HeartGlass

Size-inclusive brand HeartGlass is known for its unique sizing system that creates a semi-custom fit that flatters women of all shapes and sizes. The proof was on the runway, with models of various sizes all rocking the same classic black one-piece that hugged their curves in all the right places. The collection also included an array of bikinis with flattering cuts that don’t compromise on allure.

Californium Supply Co

Luxury streetwear brand Californium Supply Co brought its signature edge to its latest swim collection. Created in the brand’s iconic black and gold color palette, the collection stands out with bold but timeless silhouettes and striking gold details like chains, rings, and fringe skirts. Priding themselves on timeless design and superior quality, the brand designs each piece with sustainability in mind.
