AUSTIN, Texas – South by Southwest (SXSW) revealed the first round of artists that will perform at the 2025 SXSW Music Festival from March 10-15.
SXSW is a set of festivals and conferences that celebrates the convergence of tech, film, music, education and culture. The internationally recognized event is held in Austin annually in the middle of March.
Talents are discovered at the festival. Famous artists such as Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Chance the Rapper and Megan Thee Stallion have all performed at SXSW at the beginning of their careers.
The 2025 edition features artists that not only span genres, but continents. SXSW announced not only local Austin performers, such as Bee Blackwell and Bubba Lucky, but international artists as well, including UK duo The Ting Tings, Mexican singer Justin Morales, Dublin punk band Gurriers, Indonesian psychedelic funk group Ali, Montreal art-punk ensemble La Sécurité, Australian rock band Delivery and indie pop artist Twin Shadow. Shadow will debut his sixth album Georgie at the event.
The acts will represent countries around the world such as Argentina, Canada, Denmark, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, and Norway.
This year, SXSW will debut live performances of Immersion (Colin Newman of Wire & Malka Spigel of Minimal Compact) and SUSS. This is part of their Nanocluster collaboration series and will be the first stop on the first-ever tour.
