The nationwide grocer celebrated its latest store’s grand opening on Sunday, October 11 at 351 N. U.S. Hwy. 183, Liberty Hill, TX 78642. Target’s first Liberty Hill store is 148,000 square feet, which is bigger than the company’s average-sized 125,000-square-foot stores.
The company initially set plans for the location in 2024, which was expected to be completed by May 2025, but like many big projects, it appeared to have faced some construction delays. Now that it’s open, Target brought more than 200 jobs to the community alongside increased access to groceries, home and entertainment products and other shopping essentials.
Inside, the new Target features a Starbucks Cafe, CVS Pharmacy an Apple section, alcoholic beverage selections, and “food-forward” shopping for groceries. In the parking lot shoppers can also find electric vehicle charging stations, Target’s Drive-Up, Order Pickup and same-day delivery services.
T.J. Maxx is also planning to build a new $1 million store near the newly opened Target and within the Liberty Hill Crossing Shopping Center. This nearly 25,000-square-foot-store is expected to be completed by mid-August.
However, all estimated construction timelines on TDLR are subject to change at any time. Liberty Hill’s new Target is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
