MIAMI, FL – April 3, 2025 – Telemundo’s afternoon entertainment shows, En Casa con Telemundo, La Mesa Caliente, and Al Rojo Vivo drove the network to the #1 spot in Spanish-language television on weekday afternoons. In the first quarter of 2025, the network’s entertainment shows in the 1pm-5pm timeslot delivered an average of 542,000 total viewers and 126,000 adults 18-49, outperforming Univision by 12% and 2%, respectively. Today, stars from all three shows, along with special guests, came together on En Casa con Telemundo to celebrate this special milestone.

“Securing the top spot in weekday afternoons is a great recognition from our audience to our dedication to create content that not only entertains but also deeply connects with our audience,” said Ricdamis Garcia, Telemundo’s SVP, Entertainment & Specials. “We are proud of our talented teams both in front of and behind the cameras and are profoundly grateful to our loyal viewers for making Telemundo their number one choice.”

Initially born to keep Hispanic families entertained during the pandemic, En Casa con Telemundo quickly became a staple of the network’s afternoon lineup due to its popularity. Viewers tune in weekdays at 1pm/12c for two hours to get the latest news in entertainment from dynamic Telemundo stars Carlos Adyan, Chikybombom, Aleyda Ortiz and Gabriel Coronel.  The show features unique content from the world of entertainment, fashion, and beauty, exclusives with the biggest stars, special guests and much more, delivered in a family-friendly format.

Hosted by Giselle Blondet, Myrka Dellanos and Verónica Bastos, La Mesa Caliente is an original Telemundo program that airs Monday to Friday at 3pm/2c from Telemundo Center in Miami. The show covers a variety of current topics and the hottest and most controversial real-life events affecting the nation’s Latino community from a much more personal, authentic, and organic perspective.

Hosted by Jessica Carrillo and Lourdes Stephen, Al Rojo Vivo is a dynamic newsmagazine program airing weekdays at 4pm/3c. The show offers an innovative format that highlights the human aspect of each news event, while covering the most compelling and relevant topics for its audience. With a dedicated team of correspondents across the country and around the globe, Al Rojo Vivo brings viewers closer to the stories that matter most.
