Texas Appellate Firm Alexander Dubose & Jefferson Welcomes Barbara DePeña to Houston Office
The Texas appellate firm Alexander Dubose & Jefferson LLP (ADJ) has added Attorney Barbara DePeña to its Houston office.
Ms. DePeña joins ADJ from the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, where she clerked for Judge Irma Carrillo Ramirez. She also previously clerked for former Chief Justice Nathan Hecht of the Supreme Court of Texas and Judge Lynn Hughes of the Southern District of Texas.

Prior to clerking at the Fifth Circuit, Ms. DePeña was an associate at two of Texas’s most-respected litigation boutiques. She is a former officer of the Houston Young Lawyers Association.

Ms. DePeña is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law. She earned her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Harvard University and a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. Before law school, Barbara taught middle school Spanish for Teach for America in Maryland.
