Marvel brought something fantastic to Los Angeles on Monday.
The stars of Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps gathered in Los Angeles on July 21 to celebrate the film’s world premiere. Cast and filmmakers — including Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ralph Ineson, Julia Garner, Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Lyonne, Sarah Niles, director Matt Shakman, producer Kevin Feige, and executive producers Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis — walked the blue carpet inside the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
Decked out in retro-futuristic style, the premiere also featured appearances by H.E.R.B.I.E. and the Fantasticar, culminating with a dazzling drone show at the end of the night. The event was attended by more than 3,000 guests, including Dave Bautista, Simu Liu, Ioan Gruffudd, Xochitl Gomez, Regan Aliyah, Dafne Keen, Arian Moayed, Tony Revolori, Lewis Tan, Cameron Monaghan, and Wonder Man star Simon Williams.
Guests were also treated to a musical surprise: a performance of the Fantastic Four musical suite, conducted by the film’s Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino. The event was also live streamed by Disney+, marking the first time Disney+ subscribers were given exclusive red-carpet access to a world premiere.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family — Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Quinn), and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Moss-Bachrach) — as they face their most daunting challenge yet.
