Financial tips for college grads to keep in mind during the job hunt
Here are 5 tips for how recent grads can stay financially smart while job hunting
Michigan is home to a pair of cities ranked among the nation’s top retirement spots, according to a recent survey by a national personal financial company.
Grand Rapids ranked No. 73 and Detroit No. 166 among best places to retire, according to the report by WalletHub, which ranked the retirement-friendliness of 182 U.S. cities.
The ranking considered factors such as affordability, health care, activities and quality of living for the respective cities, WalletHub explained.
“It’s important to choose wisely when picking where to retire, as many retirees are on a fixed income. As a result, the best cities for retired people are those that minimize taxes and expenses, as well as have good opportunities for retirees to continue paid work for extra income, if they choose to do so. In addition, the top cities provide high-quality health care and offer plenty of enjoyable activities for retirees,” WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo said.
