MIDLAND This Saturday, May 30, the Midland County Horseshoe Pavilion becomes the heart of Midland as the Mex-Tex Family Fiesta kicks off for its 39th year. Doors open at noon for a full day of live music, food, competition, and family-friendly fun, and the Midland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MHCC) is ready to welcome the community.
The music stage will feature De Parranda, Milla 22, Asalto, Emilio, the Officio Emilio Tribute Band featuring Diego and Emilio IV, Sammy, and Angelina Victoria, a lineup rooted in the Tejano and Regional Mexican sounds that have defined this event for nearly four decades.
On the food side, the cook-off competition will have competitors going head-to-head in elote, brisket, and menudo. Guests can taste and vote for their favorite in the People’s Choice category, while the top three finishers take home prizes. A car show featuring classic cars, bikes, and trucks runs throughout the day, alongside food trucks and plenty of seating throughout the venue.
“This weekend is for everyone in Midland,” Marissa Salgado, chair of the Midland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and financial advisor at Edward Jones Investments, said in a news release. “For 39 years, this event has brought our community together, and this year is no different. Come for the music, stay for the food, and know that every dollar raised goes right back into programs that help our local businesses grow. We look forward to seeing you this Saturday.”
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available through MHCC. For more details on the Mex-Tex Family Fiesta, upcoming events, or MHCC programs, visit midlandhcc.com or follow @Midland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on social media.
