After acquiring Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo in a trade this offseason, the Miami Heat roster has completely changed. The team dealt Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Kasparas Jakucionis as part of the deal and also lost All-Star Norman Powell to the Chicago Bulls in free agency. Now, the Heat must navigate the rest of this offseason with some financial restrictions as they attempt to build the roster around their shiny new acquisition and Bam Adebayo. Earlier this offseason, the team signed wing Tim Hardaway Jr. to a one-year deal and brought back Simone Fontecchio but there are more moves to be made. They opened up a little bit of money by extending Andrew Wiggins as well, shaving $9 million off his player option for the upcoming season.
The big outgoing piece in potential deals would be forward Nikola Jovic, who signed an extension prior to last season. His cap hit is $16.2 million. Here are three trade candidates the Heat could target with their remaining offseason moves:

1. Scoot Henderson, Portland Trail Blazers
Henderson, 22, has been a relatively polarizing player throughout the beginning of his career. He was a highly touted prospect in the 2023 draft and was selected at No. 3 by Portland. However, he had immediate growing pains at the NBA level. Those inconsistencies continued into his sophomore season before he suffered a hamstring tear, sidelining him for most of the 2025-26 campaign. He did show strides in his limited appearances this past season but the Trail Blazers recently traded for Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant and now have a plethora of backcourt options. Henderson could be the odd man out, especially when he is nearing an extension decision and the Heat could take a chance on a young guard.
2. Jarred Vanderbilt, Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers made a whole bunch of moves this offseason to revamp their roster. They are moving on from LeBron James and signed multiple guys to decently-sized contracts such as Walker Kessler, Collin Sexton, Quentin Grimes and Sandro Mamukelashvili. All that money coming in could encourage the Lakers to part with some of their current roster. Vanderbilt, 27, has been a solid power forward option throughout his entire career. He has one more year under contract following this season and could be traded this offseason. He would be a strong option to back up Antetokounmpo.

3. Isaac Okoro, Chicago Bulls
Okoro is one of the better defensive wings in the entire league. Last offseason, he was dealt by the Cleveland Cavaliers after an underwhelming five-season stint on the offensive side of his game. His defense, however, was a big highlight. He is entering the final year of his contract and could be dealt as the Bulls enter an era under new coach Tiago Splitter. They added Powell in free agency and could opt to move Okoro while he has some value. The Heat could use a strong defender and he could join a solid wing rotation including Hardaway Jr. and Wiggins.
