LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — TikTok is highlighting content creators from across the country, including creators from right here in Las Vegas. It’s all part of the Discover America Tour, where TikTok is unveiling new features that can help content creators grow their audience.
Set up at the downtown Summerland Farmers Market, TikTok’s goal is to connect content creators with their community. A Las Vegas DJ and one of TikTok’s highlighted content creators, DJ Inspire says community is important when growing your following.

“It’s important to be out here just to get the vibe right. You know, TikTok out here is all about family, it’s all about community. So, and I feel like that’s exactly what is being displayed today.”
On the Discover America tour bus, TikTok unveils new features such as TikTok Go, which takes curated content and turns it into actual visitations. TikTok has also launched TikTok Tako, TikTok’s AI chatbot.
Kari Garcia, owner of TSP Baking Company says that social media platforms like TikTok helps to grow businesses significantly.
“We do mini cupcakes, mini cookies, cookies and cakes. Vegas is a city where tourists come to visit. They want to be off the strip. Tourists come multiple times, so they want to see what’s on the strip, but also what’s off the strip. And they want to support local more than ever. And TikTok has been huge for that.”
TikTok also encourages connection between creators. A Military Veteran, Andy Lynam says its this resources is needed amoung veteran business owners.
“Custom Jacks is about spreading patriotism across America one piece of artwork at a time. As veterans, we try to do what we can to help each other. It’s the same thing with the small business. We’re all in the same business and mission to be successful with what we’re doing. TikTok and the experiences with TikTok have changed our business.”
Las Vegas is stop 5 of 6 on the Discover America Tour. Tiktok also visited New York, Atlanta, and Denver.
