Miami baseball has made it to the final day of the Hattiesburg Regional in the NCAA tournament. Can they advance to the Super Regionals for the first time since reaching the College World Series in 2016?
The Hurricanes can do just that if they beat Southern Miss tonight in the regional final. If they lose, Miami will have another chance in a winner-take-all game Monday.
Miami (33-24) opened regional play by holding on for a 5-3 win over Alabama on Friday, spurred by a first-inning three-run home run by Golden Spikes semifinalist Daniel Cuvet. They followed that with a 14-1 win Saturday night against Columbia, who shocked regional host Southern Miss in its opening game.

The Hattiesburg Regional is paired with the Nashville Regional, so if Miami does make it to the Super Regionals, they could host a Super Regional since Vanderbilt, the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament, has been eliminated.
