Turkish Airlines is upgrading its inflight Wi-Fi on more than 100 narrowbody aircraft through a partnership with Anuvu. Using the latter’s Dedicated Space technology, the move will deliver up to nine times more throughput, meaning passengers see faster speeds, better performance, and lower latency. The upgrade supports the airline’s focus on providing a smoother and more reliable digital experience for customers.

Improving Wi-Fi Performance Across the Fleet

The improvements center on Anuvu’s Dedicated Space technology, an artificial intelligence-powered network management system designed to optimize connectivity performance on each aircraft. By dynamically allocating network resources in real time, the system ensures stable performance even during periods of high demand.

For Turkish Airlines, the results are already measurable. The enhanced system is delivering more than nine times greater throughput, four times faster upload speeds, and approximately 25 per cent lower latency. These improvements address one of the most persistent challenges in in-flight connectivity (IFC), which is maintaining performance as more passengers connect and use bandwidth-intensive services simultaneously.

The project is being rolled out with support from local partner Profen and includes an upgrade to Anuvu’s Modman-D modem, which allows the airline to improve performance without replacing the entire system. Working within existing systems allows for targeted improvements, reducing disruption and enabling a smoother, quicker rollout across the fleet.

“Through methods that were both economically and ecologically practical for Turkish Airlines, Dedicated Space from Anuvu will deliver a leap forward in the real world experience guests receive from Wi-Fi on board airplanes. The enhanced Wi-Fi service has successfully been deployed across 65 aircraft to date and with full implementation across all designated aircraft scheduled for completion by April 2026,” said Anuvu CEO Josh Marks.

“At Turkish Airlines, we continuously invest in advanced technologies to increase the inflight experience of our guests. The integration of Anuvu’s Dedicated Space technology marks a significant milestone in strengthening the performance and reliability of our connectivity services across our designated narrow-body fleet. By achieving substantial improvements in throughput and upload speeds, we are reinforcing our commitment to delivering a seamless digital journey above the clouds,” said Turkish Airlines Chief Investment & Strategy Officer Levent Konukcu.

The initiative builds on Turkish Airlines’ recent recognition as a leader in IFEC, including being awarded the APEX Best Entertainment in Europe in 2026 and APEX Best Wi-Fi in Europe in 2025.
