CHAPEL HILL — UNC baseball and Arizona play Game 3 of the 2025 NCAA Tournament’s Chapel Hill Super Regional on Sunday, June 8, with first pitch set for Noon ET (ESPN2) at Boshamer Stadium.
The top-ranked Tar Heels (46-14) are the No. 5 national seed and No. 1 in the USA TODAY Sports coaches poll. UNC rolled Arizona (43-19) in Game 1, earning an 18-2 victory behind a record-breaking offensive performance and record-matching effort from pitcher Jake Knapp. The Wildcats rallied from several deficits in Game 2 to earn a 10-8 victory and force a winner-take-all game.
The Tar Heels are trying to advance to the College World Series in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2008-09. The Wildcats, who have four national championships, have won each of their last three appearances in a super regional.
UNC and Arizona will be starting freshmen pitchers in the decisive third game of the super regional series.
